Nigerian Customs Generates N7.28 Trillion Revenue in 2025, Exceeding Targets

The Nigerian Customs Service, led by Comptroller General Wale Adeniyi, announced a significant revenue milestone, generating N7.28 trillion in 2025, exceeding the N6.58 trillion target with a 10% growth. Adeniyi highlighted a 19% year-on-year revenue increase, reaching N6.1 trillion in 2024.

Minister of State for Finance, Dori Udoka Anit, praised the Customs' performance and emphasized the government's commitment to supporting reforms and enhancing institutional capacity. Adeniyi emphasized the need for sustained reforms, including leveraging technology for enforcement and risk management.

The Customs Service aims to combat illicit trade through advanced technology and data analytics. The focus is on digital transformation to enhance security and economic prosperity.
