Walson-Jack Launches Two Memoirs on Public Service

Walson-Jack launched two books, "I Planted: A Memoir of Purposeful Service" and "Beyond the Mandate: A Memoir on Leadership, Legacy & Labour of Public Service," at an event in Abuja, marking her 34 years in public service. She began her career with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Rivers State in 1992. "I Planted" focuses on her efforts to develop institutions, improve systems, and mentor younger officers, while "Beyond the Mandate" discusses the broader responsibilities of public servants.

Walson-Jack clarified that these books do not cover her tenure as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasized the civil service's role in implementing government policies and the ongoing reforms to enhance public sector efficiency.

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri highlighted Walson-Jack's contributions to public institutions, and Rivers State Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Odu noted her structured engagements with organized labor during her service.
