Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim Backs Walson-Jack for Bayelsa Governorship

During a book presentation in Abuja marking Walson-Jack's retirement after more than three decades in public service, Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the Women Affairs Minister, commended Walson-Jack's non-partisan approach and her efforts to enhance unity within the Federal Civil Service. Sulaiman-Ibrahim highlighted Walson-Jack's ability to strengthen relationships between ministers and permanent secretaries, fostering a sense of shared responsibility in government.

She suggested that Bayelsa State could support Walson-Jack as a candidate for governor, noting her exemplary public service record, which could lead her to become the first female governor of the state. Sulaiman-Ibrahim remarked that Walson-Jack's accomplishments serve as an inspiration for women aspiring to leadership roles.

The event was attended by notable figures, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife Dame Patience Jonathan, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Mrs Ajoke Mohammed, the wife of the late Nigerian leader.
