NBA President Praises EFCC's Impact on Financial Crimes

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), commended the leadership of Ola Olukoyede, Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), during a courtesy visit to the EFCC’s Corporate Headquarters. She praised the Commission's work in investigating and prosecuting economic and financial crimes, as well as recovering proceeds of crime.

Badejo-Okusanya highlighted the significance of Nigeria's removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, stating it enhances the country's business environment and boosts confidence in its financial system. She expressed gratitude for the positive impact on cross-border transactions and pledged the NBA's commitment to collaborating with the EFCC to strengthen the rule of law.

Olukoyede acknowledged that the removal from the FATF grey list was achieved through collaboration with sister agencies and appreciated the NBA's support, emphasizing the importance of their partnership in combating economic and financial crimes.
