‘We can’t do it alone’: Rotary appeals to Kebbi govt for malaria-free mission

Rotary International, through its PATH Rotary Health Community Challenge, has appealed to the Kebbi State government to join efforts in making every community in the state malaria-free, particularly among children. The organization recently conducted an advocacy visit to Koko town in the state, with the intention of testing and treating children under the age of 5 for malaria and related diseases.

Dr. Dele Balogun, the team lead for the organization in Kebbi State, emphasized the need for government partnership to expand the advocacy mission across the state's 21 local government areas. Balogun highlighted the importance of government support to ensure the success of the program, which aims to provide free treatment to children who test positive for malaria.

The team appreciated the community's response and willingness to support the initiative.
