Tambuwal Chooses ADC for Nigeria's Political Future

Aminu Tambuwal stated that the decision to align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was made after a thorough examination of Nigeria's political future, which began two years ago. This analysis revealed a concerning trend towards a one-party state, necessitating the strengthening of alternative political platforms.

Experts, including seasoned politicians and analysts, advised that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) faces deep-rooted internal challenges threatening its long-term viability, while the Labour Party struggles to maintain its electoral momentum due to organizational limitations. The ADC was identified as a credible platform capable of representing the aspirations of Nigerians for genuine democratic governance.

Tambuwal emphasized that the real power lies with the Nigerian people, who are dissatisfied with the current state of affairs, including insecurity and economic hardship. He expressed concerns about the timeline for party primaries, suggesting they should ideally occur around August or September, as political actors shift focus towards campaign activities.
