Parent Pleads for Action on Borno Schoolchildren's Captivity

A parent of schoolchildren abducted in Borno State expressed deep anguish over the prolonged captivity of the victims, which has lasted nearly 100 days since their abduction on May 15, 2026. The parent questioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu about the disparity in the rescue of children abducted in Oyo State on the same day, who have been safe for over a month.

The parent appealed for government intervention, highlighting the emotional and physical toll on families, with some parents reportedly hospitalized due to the stress. The uncertainty regarding the children's well-being has caused immense distress, as families have received no information about their condition.

The parent emphasized the youth of the abducted children, some of whom are very young, exacerbating the situation's urgency. The parent reiterated the families' only demand: the safe return of their children, urging the government to act swiftly to resolve this crisis.
