Kwankwaso: No Recognition for 2015 Buhari Support

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, stated in an interview with Arise TV that he received no recognition or benefits for his significant contribution of nearly two million votes that helped Muhammadu Buhari win the presidency in 2015. Kwankwaso expressed his disappointment, noting that despite his efforts to support Buhari's election, he did not see any benefits for himself or his constituents.

He reflected on the failures of the Buhari administration and highlighted the need for genuine political change in Nigeria. Kwankwaso also mentioned the historical context of past administrations, including those of Olusegun Obasanjo, Umar Yar'Adua, and Goodluck Jonathan, and their respective challenges.

He announced his decision to support the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and welcomed Peter Obi's formal joining of the party on May 3, emphasizing the party's commitment to grassroots political engagement and the pursuit of quality leadership for the country.
