Jigawa APC Reconciles Over 400 Aggrieved Members

The Jigawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully reconciled over 400 aggrieved party members who participated in the recent primary elections across the state. Alhaji Isah Muhammad Gerawa, the chairman of the APC reconciliation committee, disclosed this during a report presented to Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse.

The committee, co-chaired by Senator Muhammad Dudu, engaged with unsuccessful aspirants from all 27 local government areas to provide a platform for members to air grievances and resolve disputes, promoting unity ahead of the forthcoming general elections. This reconciliation exercise is noted as a historic achievement, being the first of its kind undertaken by the party in Jigawa State since the return to democratic governance in 1999.

Governor Umar Namadi commended the 15-member committee for their dedication to fostering peace within the APC, emphasizing that the success of a political party relies on the collective commitment and active participation of its members. The reconciliation committee was inaugurated on June 22, 2026, with a mandate to address concerns and promote unity following the party's primary elections.
