Kwankwaso Critiques Sheriff’s Support for NDC Candidate

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a presidential candidate representing the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed his relationship with former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff. In response to Sheriff’s comments regarding the lack of support from the North for NDC's presidential candidate Peter Obi, Kwankwaso implied that Sheriff was not serious and was merely trying to impress people at the presidential villa.

He characterized Sheriff’s remarks as lacking sincerity, stating that they both know each other well, especially in the context of their political history since the third republic. Kwankwaso did not elaborate on the nature of their recent conversations involving Bola Tinubu and Sheriff, but he emphasized that Sheriff’s statements were not to be taken seriously.
