Akpabio Urges Nigerians to Pray for Security Solutions

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, called on Nigerians to persist in praying for the end of insecurity in the country during an interdenominational church service held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja. This event marked the anniversary of Nigeria's democracy.

Akpabio highlighted the alarming rise in kidnappings and killings during his tenure as governor of Akwa Ibom State, which led to the introduction of monthly prayer sessions aimed at addressing security challenges. He expressed concern over the worsening security situation and urged citizens not to lose hope despite the current challenges.

Akpabio acknowledged the pain and trauma caused by insecurity, particularly kidnappings, and expressed confidence that Nigeria would overcome its difficulties. He assured that the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to tackling insecurity and restoring peace, emphasizing that collective prayer and perseverance would ultimately lead to a safer future for Nigerians.
