Akpabio Calls for Unity Against Terrorism in Nigeria

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, spoke at an interdenominational church service in Abuja, where he called on Nigerians to expose sponsors of terrorism. He introduced a monthly prayer initiative aimed at addressing the rising cases of kidnapping and violence in the country.

Akpabio reflected on Nigeria's 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, acknowledging the ongoing challenges of insecurity, particularly kidnappings and violent attacks. He emphasized the importance of prayer in confronting these issues, stating that evil doers will be exposed.

Akpabio also expressed gratitude for Nigeria's resilience through various crises, including political upheavals and pandemics. He assured that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to ending insecurity and restoring peace across the nation.

Georg Akum, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, reiterated the government's efforts to alleviate economic hardships and enhance security measures nationwide.
