Oshiomhole Urges Peaceful Voting in Osun Election

On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, addressed a mega rally in Osogbo, Osun State, organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. Oshiomhole emphasized that the APC seeks votes, not violence, ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2023.

He stated, “We are a party of peace,” urging voters to utilize their Permanent Voter Cards to influence the election outcome. Oshiomhole also highlighted President Bola Tinubu's contributions to Nigeria's democratic development and reiterated the party's commitment to a peaceful electoral process.

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin also spoke, encouraging Osun voters to support Oyebamiji to enhance the state's political relevance and development. The rally marked the APC's final major mobilization effort before the election, occurring just before the Independent National Electoral Commission's campaign deadline.
