APC's Babayemi Calls for Peace Ahead of Osun Election

Dotun Babayemi, serving as the Director-General of the Osun West Governorship Campaign Council for the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued a statement on Sunday urging residents of Osun State to engage peacefully in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. He called on voters to support the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, whom he described as a transformative leader capable of bringing significant change to the state.

Babayemi emphasized the importance of avoiding bloodshed and property destruction during the election, reminding stakeholders that despite political differences, they share a common heritage as residents of Osun State. He warned that the costs of repairing damages post-election could be substantial and stressed that the election should not be treated as a do-or-die affair.

Babayemi expressed confidence in Oyebamiji's readiness to implement people-centered programs that would elevate the state, asserting that with the people's support, victory for the APC candidate is achievable.
