ADC Chairman Accuses Senator Ireti of ₦100m Bribe

Omal Sule, the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), publicly accused Senator Ireti Kingibe of receiving ₦100 million from the national leadership of the ADC prior to the recent local government elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Sule made these allegations during a press conference on Friday, stating that AMAC members were unaware of any such funds benefiting their party.

He expressed frustration over the lack of communication from Kingibe, who he claimed rarely attended meetings organized for party leaders in the FCT. Sule highlighted a disconnect between the senator and the grassroots party structure, noting that Kingibe had created her own structure outside of the party's framework.

This accusation comes amid ongoing legal disputes involving the ADC's FCT chapter, which had previously sought a court order to prevent Kingibe from representing herself as a member of the party.
