Bala Mohammed Threatens War Over APC Intimidation Tactics

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, has publicly accused President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to intimidate opposition figures. During a press conference, he claimed that the federal government is using state institutions, including the courts and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to persecute Nigerians who do not align with the ruling party.

Mohammed warned that if the government does not cease its actions against opposition members, they are prepared to declare war. He emphasized his refusal to join the APC and reiterated his commitment to speaking out against what he perceives as an abuse of power.

Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory Minister revealed that Mohammed's faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has requested to postpone their national convention to allow for reconciliation within the party, a request that has been declined. The minister assured that the door remains open for factions wishing to return to the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections.
