Governor Bala Mohammed's Defection May Impact Tinubu

A political group in Bauchi State has expressed concerns that Governor Bala Mohammed's potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) could negatively impact Bola Tinubu's chances for reelection. The spokesperson for the group, Aliyu Muhammad, stated in a press release issued on Monday that while the governor may support APC candidates at the state level, he will not extend that support to Tinubu's presidential bid.

The group criticized the national leadership of the APC for its handling of political affairs in Bauchi State, suggesting that the governor's support for the party could lead to a risk of losing votes. There are ongoing speculations regarding the governor's defection, which has sparked unrest among Bauchi APC leaders.

Additionally, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been attempting to woo party delegates to visit the governor amid these developments.
