PDP and ADC to Jointly Field Presidential Candidate for 2027

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), led by Seyi Makinde, and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by David Mark, have declared their intention to field a joint presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement was made during a summit held in Ibadan, Oyo State, where PDP chairman Tanimu Turaki, SAN, read a communiqué.

The summit highlighted the collaboration between the two parties as they prepare for the electoral contest. Notably, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and former presidential candidate Peter Obi have already declared their intent to contest for the presidential ticket of the ADC.

Additionally, the PDP and ADC jointly called for the resignation of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, as part of their electoral strategy.
