Balami Plans to Shift 70% of Obidient Structure to APC

Isaac Balami, a prominent chieftain and youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared his intention to move over 70% of the Obidient structure to the APC. This announcement follows the re-election of Professor Nentaw Yilwatda as the APC national chairman, which Balami described as a significant success for the party.

The plan is part of a broader political realignment aimed at consolidating youth support and strengthening grassroots structures in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Balami emphasized the need for inclusivity, particularly for historically marginalized regions, and urged members of the Obidient movement to join the APC despite public perceptions.

He asserted that the current political landscape requires a viable structure to achieve electoral success, highlighting the importance of youth-driven political engagement. Balami expressed confidence that integrating a significant portion of the Obidient structure into the APC would enhance the party's electoral strength and lead to decisive victories in upcoming elections.
