Olubadan Dismisses Rift Claims with Oyo Governor Makinde

Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, publicly dismissed claims of a rift with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, describing such reports as unfounded and misleading. In a statement issued through his media aide, Adeola Oloko, the monarch clarified that there is no disagreement between the palace and the state government.

He urged the public to disregard the circulating rumors and emphasized the importance of verifying information before spreading it. The statement also addressed the upcoming coronation ceremony scheduled for Friday, April 3, noting that three high chiefs had formally indicated their inability to attend and had requested a postponement.

The Olubadan Council reiterated that the monarch continues to carry out his traditional responsibilities and advised the public to rely on verified information regarding the Olubadan's activities.
