Adeboye Defends Oluremi Tinubu's Pastoral Role Amid Pressure

During a monthly Holy Ghost service, Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), announced that Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria and an ordained assistant pastor, will not be removed from her position due to political pressure. Adeboye stated that Oluremi Tinubu was ordained properly over a decade ago and has not violated any church doctrines or guidelines.

He highlighted that the church operates based on established spiritual procedures and principles, which will not be influenced by external political sentiments or public agitation. Adeboye's remarks come amid indications that Oluremi Tinubu's husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has shown interest in contesting for the presidency.

He reassured that the church's decisions are made independently of political influences, affirming Oluremi Tinubu's continued service in her pastoral capacity.
