APC's Farouk Aliyu Rejects Wike's 'Lazy 419ers' Insult

Farouk Aliyu, the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, expressed strong disapproval of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's recent comments referring to APC governors as "lazy 419ers." During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Aliyu stated that the APC would not tolerate such derogatory remarks. This response comes amid a feud between Wike and the APC governors, who, under the leadership of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, have pledged their loyalty to President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Aliyu emphasized that Wike's comments were unacceptable and that the APC members would not allow anyone to dictate their campaign strategies. He firmly rejected the notion of forming coalitions that undermine the party's unity and objectives.
