APC's Farouk Aliyu Rejects Wike's Divisive Actions

Farouk Aliyu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared that the party will not permit any actions from Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), that could lead to internal division. This statement was made during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show.

Wike, who remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while serving in the APC-led Federal Government, has recently criticized some APC governors, labeling them as “lazy” and “419ners.” He is also advocating for a Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. Aliyu emphasized that the APC would not condone Wike's conduct, which he previously exhibited within the PDP.

He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would address the situation and communicate with Wike and other APC leaders. Aliyu also noted that there is no widespread opposition within the party regarding Wike's performance as FCT minister, acknowledging his contributions to the party's success in the last election.
