FG Commits to Completing Housing Projects Nationwide

Engr Muttaqha Rabe Darma, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, declared that the Federal Government will ensure the completion of all housing projects within stipulated timelines. This announcement was made during the second edition of the Renew Hope Housing Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Summit held in Abuja on Tuesday.

The outcomes of the summit are intended to be a critical part of the ministry's strategic plan aimed at transforming housing delivery and driving economic growth in Nigeria. The summit focused on policies, project financing, and delivering housing at scale through PPPs, bringing together key stakeholders from the government, private sector, and financial institutions.

The ministry's strategic framework will provide clear directives for implementing housing policies effectively in collaboration with the private sector. Currently, the Renew Hope Housing program is delivering 1,550 housing units for military personnel to improve their welfare.

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria is supporting this initiative with N100 billion in off-taker guarantees.
