ADC to Proceed with Congresses Despite INEC Opposition

Ralph Nwosu, the former national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the party will continue with its planned congresses and national convention, scheduled for the 14th, despite facing leadership challenges and opposition from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a briefing on Thursday, Nwosu emphasized that the ADC will not allow INEC to hinder its activities as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.

He mentioned that the party has already begun its congresses and will keep INEC informed about its plans to select candidates for the upcoming elections. Nwosu expressed a commitment to moving forward with the party's agenda, asserting that they have not violated any electoral laws.

He highlighted the importance of a leader-driven mission for the ADC, aiming to address flaws within the electoral system and ensure that the party remains proactive in its political endeavors.
