Federal Fire Service Resolves Water, Fuel Supply Issues

On Tuesday, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, the Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), announced that the Service has successfully addressed operational challenges related to inadequate water and fuel supply, significantly improving its capacity to respond to emergencies. This statement was made during the unveiling of a quarter guard at the FFS headquarters and another at the Wuse Area Command in Abuja.

Adeyemi, who has held his position for about a year, reiterated his commitment to restoring public confidence in the FFS's ability to protect lives and property. He recounted a recent incident in Plateau State where an officer risked his life to save someone, highlighting the Service's dedication.

Adeyemi described the new quarter guards as symbols of discipline and professionalism, commending the officers who funded the projects. He also noted that staff welfare has improved through enhanced packages, medical interventions, and access to loan facilities.
