Ogun State Empowers 4,000 Households with Free Seeds and Tools to Tackle Hunger

Ogun State Government distributed free farm tools and plant materials to 4,000 households in a bid to tackle hunger and food insecurity. The initiative, part of the Special Agro-Processing Zone (SAPZ) Home Garden Program, aims to reduce the cost of food items in the market by encouraging households to cultivate perishable crops.

The distribution covered four local government areas, including Yewa North, Obafemi Owode, Odogbolu, and Ijebu East. The program provides tools like rakes, shovels, fertilizers, insecticides, and hand gloves, along with seeds for various crops.
