Fintiri's Future Uncertain After Tinubu's Visit to Adamawa

Following President Bola Tinubu's visit to Adamawa State, speculation has arisen regarding Governor Ahmad Fintiri's potential defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Chief Press Secretary Humwashi Wonosik did not confirm any political shift but acknowledged the governor's invitation to the president.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State publicly encouraged Fintiri to join the APC during a book launch. Fintiri's political history includes a contentious governorship election in 2019 against APC's Jibrilla Bindow, which he won amid significant electoral disputes.
