PDP Supports Lamido's Alignment with Wike's Faction

The Jigawa State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed support for former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido's decision to join Nyesom Wike's faction of the party. This alignment comes as the PDP faces ongoing leadership crises.

PDP spokesman for Jigawa State, Umar Kyari, highlighted that Lamido's stance is a positive advancement for Wike's camp, which is rooted in legal considerations. Kyari emphasized that Wike possesses significant knowledge of legal matters, which may influence future court decisions regarding the party's leadership structure.

He criticized the previous opposition from PDP governors to Lamido's political ambitions within the party. The situation is further complicated by several members leaving the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), indicating a tumultuous period for the PDP.
