Yiaga Africa Boss Reveals Politicians' Fear of E-Transmission of Election Results

Samson Itodo, the Executive Director of Yiaga Africa, disclosed the concerns of Nigerian politicians regarding the electronic transmission of election results. He mentioned the rejection of a proposal to make electronic transmission compulsory in the Electoral Amendment Bill. Itodo stressed that enhancing transparency through electronic transmission could deter manipulation at various stages of the result collation process by providing real-time access to election outcomes.
