APC Chairman Explains Absence of Board of Trustees

Professor Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), addressed the issue of the party's lack of a Board of Trustees during a public event in Abuja. He stated that the APC operates without this board because the party believes in grassroots ownership and that members should control the party rather than leaving it in the hands of a few elders.

Yilwatda emphasized that the party's funding primarily comes from member contributions across the country, which fosters a sense of belonging and control over party affairs. He also linked the party's membership registration to the National Identification Number (NIN) management system, which helps maintain accurate records and confirm the true identities of members.

This electronic registration system allows the APC to access member details instantly, facilitating easier mobilization and credible primary elections.
