Pantami Reveals Buhari's Advice on Gombe Politics

Isa Pantami, who served as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, disclosed in an interview that former President Muhammadu Buhari instructed him to stay away from Gombe State politics. This advice was aimed at preventing potential conflicts within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and maintaining peace among party members during Buhari's administration.

Pantami accepted this guidance, emphasizing the importance of respecting the decisions of the president and focusing on his federal duties. He clarified that he did not abandon politics in his home state but chose to remain neutral to avoid creating tension within the political structure.

Pantami continues to support youth empowerment and mentorship programs across various local government areas in Gombe State, despite not being actively involved in state politics. He acknowledged that the situation has changed and indicated a potential return to political activities following encouragement from grassroots party members.
