Eric Chel's Discontent with Super Eagles Management

Eric Chel, the current coach of the Super Eagles, is expressing a desire to leave the team due to uncomfortable working conditions, including late salary payments and inadequate accommodation. His contract runs until January 2027, and he is linked to the upcoming 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

Reports indicate that Chel has not openly complained but is frustrated with the NFF's late payments, having received only three months of salary. He is currently earning $50,000 monthly but is demanding an increase to $130,000, believing he deserves better compensation given the Super Eagles' successful run in the last AFCON.

Chel, a 48-year-old native French coach, has previously worked at a high level in Mali and is reportedly considering his options as he feels undervalued. The NSC has been involved in salary payments, but Chel's dissatisfaction with the NFF's management could lead to his departure from the national team.
