Folarin Balogun's Everton Transfer Falls Through on Deadline Day

Folarin Balogun's proposed transfer to Everton collapsed on transfer deadline day after the striker decided against completing the move following a medical examination at the club's Finch Farm training ground. Everton had reached an initial £40 million agreement with Monaco for the 25-year-old United States international.

However, complications identified during the medical led both clubs to renegotiate the deal. Although a deal sheet was completed before the transfer window closed at 11 p.m., Balogun ultimately opted out of the transfer to Merseyside.

Everton had targeted Balogun after Beto's transfer to Fiorentina and also considered Joshua Zirkzee and Tammy Abraham but could not secure either player. Despite missing out on Balogun, Everton successfully signed Jack Grealish on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Grealish, who previously played for Everton, expressed gratitude for the support from the manager and fans.
