Donald Duke Questions Omoyele Sowore's Presidential Intentions

Donald Duke, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party, commented on Omoyele Sowore, the leader of the African Action Congress, stating that he is unsure if Sowore is genuinely running for office. Duke characterized Sowore as a voice of conscience, noting that he articulates issues that other candidates may avoid due to political civility.

In an interview with the Naija Unfiltered Podcast, Duke expressed his appreciation for Sowore's candidness. He also discussed the necessity for the broader opposition to work towards a united platform, cautioning that the primary goal should not solely be to defeat the incumbent, Bola Tinubu.

Duke pointed out that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State governor Peter Obi had not participated in some meetings aimed at fostering opposition unity. He stressed the importance of the opposition agreeing on a central objective for Nigeria's future before selecting a candidate.
