Sowore Confirms 2027 Presidential Bid Amid Doubts

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), responded to Donald Duke, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), regarding doubts about his candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. Duke had expressed uncertainty about Sowore's intentions, noting that he does not behave like a typical presidential candidate.

In his response, Sowore thanked Duke for recognizing him as a "voice of conscience" but asserted that he is indeed running for the presidency. He pointed out that his name appears on the final list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a candidate for the 2027 election.

Sowore explained that his campaign differs from conventional political pursuits, stating that he is not seeking power for privileges or access to resources but aims to dismantle the corrupt political system that has impoverished many Nigerians while enriching a small elite.
