Ali Pate Withdraws from 2027 Bauchi Governorship Race

Muhammad Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, disclosed in a video message aired on the Bauchi-based media platform Labari Daga Bauchi that he will not participate in the 2027 Bauchi State governorship election. Pate explained his decision is based on a desire to prioritize national service rather than personal ambition.

He acknowledged the overwhelming support from the people of Bauchi who encouraged him to run for the governorship position in the upcoming general elections. However, he emphasized that the nation requires contributions that extend beyond state-level politics.

Pate called for individuals with integrity and commitment to join in the efforts to rebuild Nigeria, stating that the need for service transcends the boundaries of Bauchi State.
