Fintiri Defects from PDP to APC for Adamawa's Growth

On Friday morning, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State announced his decision to leave the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a statewide broadcast. He described this move as a calculated step taken in the overall interest of the people of Adamawa State.

Fintiri stated that the decision followed extensive consultations and assessments of the state's long-term stability and growth, reflecting the mandate he received during the 2019-2023 governorship election. He emphasized that his administration remains committed to delivering on promises, including improvements in security, infrastructure, and social welfare.

Fintiri highlighted the need for strategic realignment to better position Adamawa State within national politics and attract greater opportunities. He disclosed that the defection extends to the entire political structure of his administration across the state's 226 wards and 21 local government areas.

Fintiri urged the people of Adamawa to support the APC while assuring them that his focus on development projects would continue regardless of party affiliation.
