Ola of Lagos explains why he rents despite owning homes

Waris Olayinka Akinwande, popularly known as Ola of Lagos, shared his reasoning for living in a rented apartment during an episode of the KK Show. Despite owning multiple houses, he has never slept in any of them, as he believes that residing in his own home would lead to complacency and a decrease in his work motivation.

Ola stated that the financial pressure of paying rent serves as a driving force for him to continue pursuing his business ventures. He currently pays an annual rent of N50 million for his rented apartment, which he uses as motivation to "keep grinding harder." His choice to rent, even while living in a beautiful estate, reflects his commitment to maintaining a strong work ethic.
