In a clip shared on September 21, he explained that he has never spent a night in any property he purchased with his own money.

His rationale is that residing in a home he owns would lead to complacency and reduce his ambition to succeed. Born Waris Olayinka Akinwande, he rose from humble beginnings, having worked as a cleaner in affluent areas of Lagos, to become a notable figure in Nigerian social media.

The clip elicited mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning his logic and others providing sharp critiques. Additionally, Ola clarified that he never claimed ownership of a demolished auto store, stating that it is owned by Skywise Group and that he only leased a section.

He emphasized that the Lagos State Government demolished the building due to unmet safety precautions, asserting he was not specifically targeted.
