Amaechi Declares Candidacy for ADC Presidential Nomination

Rotimi Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State, has declared himself the best presidential option for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections. In his statements, Amaechi emphasized his extensive leadership experience, particularly highlighting his tenure as the youngest chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum and his previous role as Minister of Transport.

He pointed out the ADC's decision to choose prominent aspirants like Atiku Abubakar and Moham Hayatu-Deen, contrasting his own leadership track record with theirs. Amaechi criticized the current administration led by Bola Tinubu, accusing it of deliberately creating hunger as a political manipulation tool and undermining opposition parties.

He asserted that his primary focus as president would be to enforce law and order in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of the rule of law in governance.
