Amaechi Claims Top Credentials for ADC Presidential Bid

Rotimi Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transport, has declared himself the most qualified presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. In an interview, he emphasized his long-standing leadership experience, contrasting himself with younger candidates.

Amaechi highlighted his roles, including serving as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum and being the first to hold the position for two terms. He criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration for causing economic hardship and manipulating voters through hunger tactics.

Amaechi questioned the APC's influence over political institutions, asking why they do not allow opposition parties to operate freely. He stated that restoring law and order and adhering strictly to the rule of law would be his top priorities if elected president.
