Dangote Prefers Hotels Over Luxury Homes Abroad

Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group and Africa's richest man, stated that he prefers living in hotels rather than owning luxury homes abroad. He sold his properties, including two large mansions in the United States and a house in the United Kingdom, to concentrate on building his business in Nigeria.

Dangote explained that maintaining expensive foreign properties became unnecessary once he committed to investing in Nigeria. He noted that owning holiday homes often creates distractions from long-term goals.

By choosing to stay in hotels while traveling, he described it as a simpler lifestyle. Dangote emphasized that his investment strategy is driven by a clear vision, which includes long-term targets set for 2030, aimed at reducing Nigeria's dependence on imports and focusing on local production.

His approach involves identifying the needs of the country and integrating local production to meet those needs.
