Charles Inojie Critiques Employability of Nigerian Graduates

Charles Inojie, a popular Nollywood actor, has voiced his concerns regarding the employability of many Nigerian graduates. He argued that a significant number of these graduates lack adequate knowledge and skills in their respective fields of study.

Inojie recounted an encounter with a graduate on a movie set who studied Linguistics but struggled to engage in a discussion about the subject, despite it being only an elective course for him. He expressed disappointment in her lack of understanding, stating, “I was really disappointed in her and that thing dey worry me.” Inojie noted that he has heard claims that many graduates today are not employable, which he believes holds some truth.

He emphasized that many young people are reluctant to take up jobs because they do not possess sufficient understanding of their fields, despite having academic qualifications.
