Police Escort Withdrawal from VIPs Faces Delays, Reveals Former Aide

This decision comes after President Bola Tinubu's directive to fully implement the withdrawal, which has faced delays due to security concerns and the need for thorough verification of threats.

The Nigerian Police Force, led by Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun, has started implementing the directive, but challenges remain in redeploying officers and ensuring security gaps are filled. Despite criticisms, the withdrawal process is ongoing, with VIPs urged to contact the police for security clearance.
