Ubani Supports Tinubu's Emergency Rule in Rivers - Preventing Governance Collapse

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Monday Ubani, defended President Tinubu's decision to declare an emergency rule in Rivers State, stating it was necessary to prevent a collapse of governance. Ubani highlighted the dire political situation in Rivers, where the State House Assembly had only four members.

He explained that the Supreme Court had previously ruled against the state governor's administration, justifying the need for emergency measures. Despite efforts to broker peace, including meetings at Aso Rock, lasting peace remained elusive.

Ubani emphasized the importance of preventing the destruction of economic assets in Rivers through the emergency rule.
