APC Chair Yilwatda Explains Tolerance of Wike

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yilwatda, addressed the media in Abuja regarding the party's ongoing relationship with Nyesom Wike, a minister from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He clarified that the APC is maintaining this relationship due to an existing agreement that allows Wike to serve within the APC framework.

Yilwatda expressed concerns about potential conflicts of interest arising from party members who have defected from the PDP, warning them against attempting to hijack the APC. He disclosed that the APC has set aside 250 million Naira for the ward congress in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and urged stakeholders to prioritize unity over tribal, religious, and ethnic sentiments as the party strategizes for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda advised members to embrace inclusivity and diversity to ensure the party's success in future elections.
