FUTA VC Urges Effective Wildlife Conservation Policies - Global Impact Concern

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Adenike Oladiji, has called for effective conservation policies to combat the escalating global threat to wildlife. Speaking at the 7th annual conference of the Wildlife Society of Nigeria (WISON) held at FUTA, Oladiji emphasized the urgent need for robust conservation measures.

The conference highlighted the significant economic impact of wildlife exploitation, estimated at billions of dollars annually, posing a serious threat to biodiversity. Oladiji warned of the dangerous conflict between wildlife conservation and economic exploitation, stressing the importance of conserving natural habitats and animal populations.

The call for action aims to address the critical challenges facing global conservation efforts and prevent further endangerment of ecosystems.
