Wike Appoints Onsachi Idri as Procurement Aide

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has appointed Onsachi Idri as his Senior Special Assistant on Procurement. This appointment was announced in a statement issued on Friday.

Idri, who retired from the civil service on April 24, 2026, brings 30 years of experience in public administration and finance, particularly in procurement management. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Procurement in the Federal Capital Territory Administration starting in July 2021, and before that, he was the Director of Common Services Procurement from August 2019.

The statement highlighted Idri's critical role in overseeing procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards during his tenure. His extensive experience across various administrative procurement functions is expected to contribute to the efficient delivery of services within the ministry.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
