PDP's Umar Sani Accuses Wike of Disrupting Meetings

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), asserted that Nyesom Wike is aware of the various meetings held by a faction within the party and cannot take action against them. Sani accused Wike of repeatedly using government instruments to frustrate these meetings, which are part of the ongoing leadership crisis within the PDP.

He described Wike's actions as a last-ditch effort to maintain control, referring to them as "last kick of a dying horse." Sani emphasized that the members of the PDP group are committed to the party's legitimate leadership and are not deterred by Wike's tactics. He further stated that the group is awaiting a certified true copy of a recent Supreme Court judgment, which will determine the next phase of the leadership battle within the PDP.

Sani noted that similar tactics were employed during the tenure of former national chairman Umar Damagum whenever meetings were perceived to be unfavorable to Wike's camp.
